Oklahoma State University (OSU) established the University Multispectral Laboratories (UML) in collaboration with Triton Scientific as a government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation, tasked as a "Trusted Agent" to develop and operate laboratory and field facilities for Research, Development, Test, Evaluation, Deployment, Commercialization and Training to support Collaborative Innovation.
The UML team consists of technically-savvy operators and tactically-savvy scientists and engineers with relevant corporate, academic and government experience to support national and energy security missions.

The UML acts as a "Trusted Agent" for U.S. Government, technology developers and operators. It is the only such center offering this status by being technology-agnostic and providing location advantages for real-life training and exercise methodologies for the integration of specific tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs) with advanced technologies to produce new enhanced operational capabilities. In support of our “Trusted Agent” status and by policy the UML does not own or take a vested interest in intellectual property.
