The Oklahoma Department of Commerce is working with the Oklahoma Federal Contract Verifier, the University Multispectral Laboratories (UML) of Ponca City, to launch an expansion of the "Quality Jobs Program". State legislation, HB 1468, that was signed by Governor Brad Henry on May 29,2009 extends the program to federal prime contractors who can now receive direct incentives for subcontracting portions of their work to Oklahoma's small, mid-sized, urban and rural businesses, universities and research centers. The UML takes this opportunity one step further with the Prime WIN Program, which effectively connects these prime contractors to qualifying Oklahoma businesses. The purpose of the "Letter of Intent" is to have a record of those companies that have an interest in participating in the HB 1468, Prime WIN program. There will be official news releases as to progress of the approved administrative processes but your recorded "Letter of Intent" assures you will be notified as soon as the processes are approved.
